  Our initial visit was ok except for the fact that the front office spoke only in Spanish to me and continued to ask me for my Medi-cal card. My initial call I provided them with my insurance information and had them run benefits and eligibility and ensured they were in network.
  Office staff in the front desk are completely incompetent. Lupe could not even answer a question correctly. Unfortunately my son got an infection from a filling the dentist had done so I had to back as an emergency, that’s when their incompetence became apparent. Dental services were provided however I had to pay out of pocket for a root canal and a crown, I found it odd but my son was in pain and I had to pay. (I found it odd so I contacted my insurance company they confirmed they were not in network.) What Lupe or the front office staff failed to see is that, everyone accepts PPO pretty much, however, the front desk staff doesn’t know the difference with in network and out of network and it matters! Office staff thought they were in network but they aren’t, they took no responsibility for a mistake they made. Not once, not twice but good for them they did get it right the 3rd time and concluded they were not an in network provider, much as I had suggested to them.
  I asked for the dentist to call me back and sure enough he couldn’t instead the same person, Lupe calls me back, which I had already spoken to her. (Lupe insisted she gave me a discount on our last visit, so it should pretty much even out) I would have liked to inform the dentist personally how I was financially responsible for his staff’s mistake to ensure it wouldn’t happen to someone else.
  Do not go here if you have any questions regarding benefits. Find another place. Too bad the dentist has a lousy front office staff. I would have definitely gone back.
